NO DIFFERENT I beg you of you Again and again As I fall to my knees In vain bearing all my hardship Just for you To only feel insecure As I look through you I see the real you You have an unpleasant side Just like me Protruding to the outside While I am looking in Making everything real Putting up no fights But feeling like this will never end It was all for you A taste of what I could never have Coming from you But all those times I tried My intentions were honorable I know I wasted a lot of time And all the tears I cried It feels wasted Used up kept inside The pain felt all over Stuffed down And it comes back again As I lie awake in bed alone Begging again to mend Just to feel tomorrow will be ok Still standing on the outside Looking in Looking right through you Only to see you are no different No different from me Marshall Elmore April 4, 2021
